Overview
We are looking to bring on a strong, technical analyst to our Regulated Industries - Central Strategy Team who will be responsible for producing and maintaining the team's data infrastructure, conducting both ad-hoc and cyclical business analyses, and plugging in to support our stakeholder, Mark Sullivan wherever needed.
Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and translating raw data into actionable insights
Proficient in querying and manipulating data using SQL. Able to write complex joins, subqueries, aggregations, and window functions
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and database structures
AI Native - comfortable and proactive in usage + discovery of AI tools to streamline tools and processes wherever possible
Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership over their work
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and delivering under tight deadlines
Detail-oriented - takes care to validate outputs and catch errors before presenting findings
Proactive in identifying problems and proposing solutions without waiting to be asked
Collaborative team player who also thrives working independently
Able to frame ambiguous business questions into structured analytical problems
Synthesizes quantitative findings into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders
Thinks beyond the numbers — connects data insights to broader sales strategy
Comfortable forecasting, and scenario modeling
Experience working in a data analytics platforms, namely Tableau and Snowflake
Track record of building and maintaining dashboards and reports that stakeholders rely on
Familiarity with sales metrics, Salesforce Systems, Org62 a plus
Background in Python or R is a plus for more advanced statistical analysis
Able to independently write and optimize SQL queries across relational databases
Comfortable working with normalized schemas and understanding data lineage
Able to perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation using SQL
Experience with version-controlled SQL scripts and query documentation best practices
1-3+ years of experience in data analytics, strategy & operations, management consulting, or a related field
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics) preferred
Strong communication skills. Able to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions.
The typical base salary range for this position is $99,400 - $150,300 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $118,900 - $163,500 annually.
The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
