General Information/Job Summary
Material Handler will assist in general construction tasks and is responsible for knowing and following appropriate material handling and safety procedures. Must be familiar with the Industrial Construction Project Environment and Materials. Must be familiar with Pre-Fabricated Piping Spools, Structural Steel, Electrical Conduit, Cable Trays, Control Valves, and other industrial related material handling and tracking.
Responsibilities/Competencies
Performs miscellaneous tasks that require assisting with the movement of materials such as being a spotter for operators when loading and unloading of trucks.
Material inspections once Materials arrive on-site.
Must be familiar with construction materials to be able to check in when delivered.
Performs work area clean-up.
Required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by supervisor or designated representative.

Safety Requirements
On a continual basis, promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies. to ensure a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all accompany policies.
Ability to pass drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program (DISA).
Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education.
Attends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management.
Attends various training classes as may be assigned by management.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Ability to take needed safety precautions in performing the work.

Ability to see things clearly that are beyond arm’s reach (far visual acuity).
Ability to see small details.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb 30-foot ladders without resting.
Ability to maintain balance on catwalks and narrow workspaces
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to reach above head while sitting or standing.
Ability to reach below knees while standing.
Ability to stoop or kneel.
Ability to work 60 or more hours each week.
Ability to work at heights a minimum of 20 ft.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
