At Sener, we are delivering some of the region's most complex and innovative Rail & Metro projects. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Egypt team, leading the design and technical delivery of LV and MV electrical systems across major rail and infrastructure projects.

This role is suited to an experienced electrical design engineer with strong Rail & Metro experience and a proven background in LV/MV systems, multidisciplinary coordination, and technical design delivery.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and technical delivery of LV and MV electrical systems across concept, preliminary, detailed, and IFC design stages

2. Develop and review electrical calculations, load schedules, single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, layouts, reports, and design documentation

3. Design and coordinate LV/MV distribution systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, protection, earthing, cables, and associated electrical infrastructure

4. Coordinate electrical designs with MEP, Civil, Structural, Rail Systems, Signaling, Telecommunications, SCADA, and other disciplines

5. Carry out and review electrical load assessments, voltage drop, short-circuit, protection coordination, and other relevant system studies

6. Review technical submissions, supplier information, design proposals, RFIs, and engineering documentation

7. Lead multidisciplinary design reviews and resolve complex electrical design and coordination issues

8. Provide technical guidance to electrical engineers and ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

2. 12–15 years of overall electrical engineering experience

3. Mandatory Rail & Metro experience

4. Strong electrical design experience with LV and MV systems, with HV experience not being the primary requirement

5. Experience with electrical distribution, substations, switchgear, transformers, protection, earthing, and cable systems

6. Experience with electrical load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop, and protection coordination studies

7. Proficiency in relevant electrical design and analysis software and AutoCAD

8. Experience delivering electrical designs across concept, preliminary, detailed, and IFC stages

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working with international engineering consultancies

2. Experience on large-scale Rail & Metro projects

3. Experience with BIM-enabled electrical design coordination

4. Familiarity with GCC requirements and international electrical standards

5. Experience supporting design assurance and technical verification
