About Terra Verde:
Terra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.
The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.
Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometres of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.
This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.
About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join the Terra Verde Joint Venture. Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, this role will be overseeing on-site electrical works to ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery of systems and infrastructure. You’ll coordinate daily activities, manage subcontractors, monitor performance, report progress, and lead site teams to meet project specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate electrical teams and subcontractors to meet program, safety, and quality standards.
Lead by example in implementing Terra Verde’s safety, environmental, and quality systems.
Contribute to planning construction methodologies and short-term work programs.
Maintain accurate daily records, including progress reports and shift handovers.
Review electrical design documentation and provide input on constructability.
Monitor subcontractor compliance with specifications and project milestones.
Assist with budget tracking and assess cost impacts of variations and changes.
Identify and mitigate risks proactively during site execution.
Supervise and develop leading hands, ensuring safety and IR compliance.
Engage with HSE representatives and stakeholders to resolve safety or employee issues.
Foster strong communication and relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
Perform all duties in line with Terra Verde policies, processes, and procedures.
Key Requirements:
Ideally, previous experience working in the construction phase of a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor on a major project
Trade qualification in Electrical or a related discipline and OHS White Card
Extensive experience with construction wiring installations, including the installation, testing, commissioning of associated tunnelling equipment, such as lighting and communications, High Voltage Power distribution and control systems.
Additional training or certifications in Construction, Project Management, or Building (desirable)
2–5 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role on large infrastructure or construction projects
Proven leadership experience overseeing subcontractors, trades, and direct labour
Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement technical drawings and design documentation
Experience with performance management, issue resolution, and site coordination
Ensuring compliance with all the relevant standards, including, but not limited to AS3000, AS3012, Worksafe Victoria Electrical Installations.
