Operations Manager - Continuous Improvement
We're looking for an Operations Manager - Continuous Improvement to support operational excellence across our Retail, Corporate and ABS business teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, analysing data, improving processes, and delivering practical solutions that make day-to-day operations more effective. You'll help create greater consistency across teams, enhance reporting and insights, and identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Working within the ABS team, you'll collaborate across multiple business units to support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a more scalable, data-driven operating environment. This opportunity can be based in either our Auckland or Christchurch offices.

Continuous Improvement & Process Support
Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and ways of working.
Assist in the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Support the standardisation of processes and practices across teams and locations.
Help document, review and enhance operational procedures.
Operational Reporting & Insights
Develop and maintain operational reporting and dashboards.
Analyse business performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
Provide insights that support decision making and operational improvement.
Contribute to the development of meaningful KPIs and reporting metrics.
Power Platform Solutions
Utilise Power BI to create reporting and performance dashboards.
Support the development of simple workflow and process solutions using Power Apps.
Help improve visibility of operational performance through better data and reporting.
Stakeholder Support
Partner with business leaders and operational teams to understand challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
Build strong working relationships across Retail, Corporate and ABS teams.
Support the implementation of new processes and operational changes.
Encourage the adoption of more efficient and consistent ways of working.
Operational Excellence
Assist in identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
Support process reviews and operational health checks.
Help establish greater consistency across branches and teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects from planning through to implementation.
You enjoy understanding how businesses operate and finding practical ways to improve processes, reporting and outcomes. You'll bring:
2-5 years experience in Operations, Business Improvement, Continuous Improvement or a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience using Power BI to develop reports and dashboards.
Exposure to Power Apps or an interest in developing capability in this area.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
Experience within insurance, financial services, broking or professional services will be highly regarded.
Play a key role in improving operational performance.
Work closely with business leaders across multiple teams.
Build valuable experience in process improvement and operational excellence.
Use data and technology to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
