Multiple Open Positions for: Accounting & Reporting Senior Specialist/Specialist, Nis, Serbia
Purpose of Role: Supports, coordinate & prepares monthly, quarterly and / or annual financial reporting of respective PMI affiliates and ensures their timeliness, accuracy and conformity with legal, fiscal, statutory and corporate requirements. It considers coordination with other functions within GBS organization, affiliate and PWC / auditors. The position is assigned to a specific market or cluster.
Accountability
Prepares monthly, quarterly and / or annual statutory financial reporting of respective PMI affiliates, as per agreed split of responsibilities. It includes timeliness, accuracy and conformity with legal, fiscal, statutory and corporate requirements.
Supports monthly, quarterly and annual US GAAP closing activities of respective PMI affiliates
Performs control & review activities delegated by GL Supervisor (incl review of JERFs and Accounts reconciliation samples and GMRB transmissions dashboard).
Supports GL Supervisor in coordination of MEC process with Affiliate, IBS and BPO Teams.
Provide support to BPO (external Business Partner) in resolution of issues, liaising with Affiliates, IBS or Corporate Teams.
Supports BPO (external Business Partner) in timely completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensure proper escalation process for overdue items (coordinates gathering of items for escalation).
Actively shares expertise, business knowledge and experience with BPO (external Business Partner teams to achieve their independency in issues resolution after Year 1 of new service model.
Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (Economics, Finance or similar) required
Professional with 3+ years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of local accounting rules / requirements
Strong analytical skills and experience in development / maintenance of financial models
Proficient user of MS Office
Knowledge and practical application of AI tools and new technologies will be considered an advantage.
Fluent in English
Functional knowledge of SAP
Strong communication skills – verbal and written
Strong coordination and liaison skills
Fast Learner with ability to navigate across various backgrounds
Demonstration of Curiosity with ability to take initiative
