Summary: We are seeking a licensed HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in a safe and efficient manner. This role supports facility and equipment reliability by responding to maintenance needs, completing preventive maintenance, and helping minimize downtime across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems
Perform preventive maintenance on air handlers, rooftop units, split systems, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, and related equipment
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control issues to restore equipment quickly and safely
Install, replace, and test HVAC components including motors, belts, compressors, valves, filters, thermostats, and sensors
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical drawings
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and energy efficiency
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation
Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies
Support facility maintenance needs as required and coordinate with production, operations, or contractors when needed
Help maintain compliance with applicable mechanical, electrical, environmental, and safety standards
Qualifications
Valid HVAC license required
EPA certification required
High school diploma or GED required
Technical school training or apprenticeship in HVAC, refrigeration, or related field preferred
Experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial or industrial HVAC systems preferred
Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, controls, and refrigeration principles
Ability to use diagnostic tools, gauges, meters, and standard hand tools
Ability to read technical documents and follow maintenance procedures
Basic computer skills for maintenance systems or work order tracking
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Powered by Nadia
Preferred Experience
Experience in manufacturing, plant maintenance, food production, or commercial facilities
Experience working with preventive maintenance programs
Familiarity with building automation or control systems
Experience working with outside contractors and vendors
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials within required job limits
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces for extended periods
Ability to work in varying temperatures and plant or outdoor conditions
Ability to respond to urgent maintenance issues, including possible off-shift, weekend, or on-call support
Work Environment
This role works in commercial, industrial, or plant environments and may be exposed to noise, moving equipment, temperature changes, and production activity. Proper PPE and safe work practices are required at all times.
