Act as a staff specialist with technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering. Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities that are to be carried out by others. Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products, or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or when confirmation by testing is advisable. Participate in establishing design plans, prepare engineering development proposals and feasibility studies, and contribute to the setting of technical objectives. Contribute significantly to the solution of applied problems. Coordinate efforts at all levels with other units of the company, including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, etc. May develop new or modified components, products, manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.

We’re looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, reliability, utilities, and Process Safety Management execution in a complex manufacturing environment. This is a critical plant leadership role for someone who can combine technical depth, people leadership, and strong operational discipline to improve asset reliability, reduce downtime, and strengthen plant performance.
About the Role
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall leadership of maintenance and utility systems across the plant. This role ensures maintenance work is executed safely and effectively, utility systems reliably support production, and maintenance systems, processes, and talent are built to sustain long-term operational excellence.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this leader will partner closely with operations, engineering, EHS, quality, and continuous improvement teams to improve equipment performance, manage maintenance resources, support capital planning, and strengthen compliance across the site.
What You’ll Own
Lead all maintenance and reliability activities across the plant to maximize uptime, asset performance, and operational effectiveness
Own preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance execution, including planning, scheduling, and CMMS discipline
Lead utilities performance and maintenance, including air, steam, water, nitrogen, ammonia, wastewater, and other critical systems that support production
Support and lead maintenance-related Process Safety Management (PSM) responsibilities, including mechanical integrity, Management of Change, and process hazard analysis participation
Improve equipment reliability through root cause analysis, failure trend analysis, corrective actions, and reliability improvement strategies
Manage maintenance budgets, MRO inventory strategy, and resource allocation to balance cost, service, and asset performance
Coordinate shutdowns, major maintenance events, and maintenance-related capital work with plant and engineering leaders
Build maintenance team capability through coaching, development, performance management, and clear accountability
Drive continuous improvement through TPM, FMEA, reliability-based maintenance, Lean, Six Sigma, and other maintenance excellence practices
Maintain strong compliance with safety, food safety, quality, and environmental requirements
Partner across functions to strengthen execution, remove losses, and improve overall plant performance
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, planning, scheduling, CMMS, and asset performance management
Strong technical knowledge across mechanical systems, electrical maintenance, instrumentation, controls, utilities, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration
Working knowledge of Process Safety Management and mechanical integrity requirements
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capability
Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive accountability in a fast-paced operation
Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food manufacturing or another highly regulated environment
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or advanced reliability practices
Experience with Industry 4.0 tools, predictive maintenance, or condition monitoring technologies
Professional certifications such as CMRP or CRE

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
