Role purpose: Responsible for M-Pesa core end to end operational support and manage its associated digital channels. This role involves monitoring app performance, resolving user issues, coordinating with development teams, and ensuring a seamless mobile money experience for end users.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
Perform System Management (M-Pesa Core)
Monitor the performance and availability of the M-Pesa mobile app on Android and iOS platforms.
Respond to and resolve user-reported issues, crashes, and bugs in a timely manner.
Track app analytics and crash reports using tools like Firebase or similar tools
Perform the systems incident, problem & change process with internal and external (MPA) stakeholders.
Perform and maintain the system security.
Business Continuity Management
Mini App Development, Implementation & Support
Support all projects under M-Pesa (MPA & local)
M-Pesa Product support
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
Operating system Unix, Linux (RHEL, SUSE) and Windows
Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle, GaussDB, MYSQL)
Mobile security best practices
Excellent communication skills
Familiarity with Android and iOS platforms, mobile app architecture, and APIs.
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or its equivalent.
Build and maintain relationship with key stakeholders.
Understanding of mobile money platforms, especially M-Pesa, is highly desirable.
