The Work
This position is responsible for systems development/support of flight simulators for the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Air Commando Training Support (ACTS) contract at Hurlburt Filed, Florida. The support includes systems/hardware design, development, integration, test, and maintenance of flight simulators and offline support systems.
The selected candidate will assume team lead duties as needed and will be responsible for the following:
Assign work as required to meet task deadlines
Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) in support of proposals
Take engineering drawings to finished simulator hardware infrastructure
Troubleshoot, test, repair, and maintain simulator systems
Derive system requirements from the statement of work. Allocate requirements to hardware and software components
Develop detailed systems/hardware design and interface definitions
Perform hardware installation, integration, and test of aircrew training devices
Support ECP technical reviews such as system requirements review, preliminary design review, critical design review, test readiness review and physical configuration audits
Review, update, and maintain systems documentation and drawings
Selected candidate will interface with multiple functional areas to support operation & maintenance and modifications of flight simulators

3 or more years of systems engineering experience
Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Experience with using AutoCAD to develop hardware design and drawings
Experience with simulator motion control systems, visual systems and visual and digital radar landmass databases and network configurations
Expert communication skills (oral, written, and electronic) with an emphasis on technical writing in a heavily customer facing environment
Familiarity of AS-9100, ISO-9001 and Simulator Quality Management Systems (SQMS)
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Must be able to work flexible hours
Experience working on aircraft simulations
Experienced with hardware design, hardware installation, cable fabrication and troubleshooting system issues
A solid understanding of drawing baseline structure and the ability to correctly roll new drawings into the baseline
Experience with planning and execution of flight training simulator relocations between USG facilities.
Experience performing analysis of necessary facility modifications to support flight training simulators.
Previous experience on the AFSOC ACTS simulators,
Security+ certification
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $76700.00 - $142500.00

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
