Handling the FNOL (First Notice of Loss) process of the claim registration and set-up of new claims in internal systems
Verification and analysis of claim documentation (policies, endorsements, invoices, medical / expert reports, correspondence)
Assessment of coverage in line with policy terms and conditions and internal guidelines (within granted authority)
Handling queries from clients and stakeholders regarding claim status and next steps
Ensuring that all claim files are complete, accurate and properly documented in the system
Ensuring compliance with internal procedures, quality standards and service level agreements
Participating in projects aimed at improving and automating claims processes
Participating in transition and migration of new claims processes to the team
Proposing process and/or system improvements to the team manager
Conducting trainings for new joiners as well as support of less experienced colleagues
Ensuring process documentation is up to date
Suggesting and implementing changes to tools and documentations needed to support effective service delivery
Participating actively in problem solving
Working closely with team and stakeholder to ensure that all work is carried out in a timely manner and to a high standard
This role offers full end-to-end ownership of FNOL claims process, exposure across multiple business lines, and work on complex cases. It goes beyond operations by involving process improvements and transformation projects, with a real impact on how the team works. It also has a strong international focus, requiring daily use of Spanish and English.
Experience in insurance claims handling or strong motivation to develop in claims (travel, property, liability, motor or other lines of business)
Good knowledge of the insurance market and basic understanding of insurance products
Very good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
Ability to analyse cases and processes and identify areas for improvement
Ability to identify and appropriately respond to operational and claim-related risks
Excellent attention to detail is a must
Strong analytical skills and ability to think creatively when solving claim issues
English – level B2
Spanish – level C1
Ability to adapt communication style to different stakeholders (clients, insurers, internal teams)
Very good time management and organizational skills
Understanding and applying appropriate communication style
Ability to meet tight deadlines under time pressure
Ability to prioritize tasks according to volumes
Strong work ethic
