Job Description: Role Summary The Director, Product Commercialization & Adoption is responsible for translating product strategy into successful commercialization, adoption, and business outcomes across the Global Transaction Banking portfolio.
Acting as a strategic partner to Product, Market Management, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and client-facing organizations, this role leads commercialization strategy, stakeholder activation, market adoption, and value realization across product launches, enhancements, migrations, and strategic initiatives.
As the commercialization leader within Product Readiness & Rollout (PRR), this role bridges the gap between product development and successful market adoption by ensuring products are effectively introduced, adopted, scaled, and optimized to achieve intended business outcomes. This direction aligns with the evolution of PRR as a commercialization capability focused on adoption, launch effectiveness, and business value realization.
Key Responsibilities Commercialization Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
Develop and lead commercialization strategies for new products, enhancements, migrations, and strategic initiatives.
Assess commercialization needs, stakeholder impacts, adoption requirements, and appropriate support models.
Establish portfolio-level commercialization priorities, adoption objectives, and value realization measures.
Advise leadership on commercialization opportunities, adoption risks, portfolio trade-offs, and strategic priorities.
Recommend commercialization approaches based on business impact, customer outcomes, market readiness, and organizational capacity.
Launch Planning, Market Activation & Stakeholder Alignment
Lead commercialization planning and market activation efforts associated with product launches and strategic initiatives.
Coordinate commercialization activities across Product, Market Management, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and client-facing teams.
Build stakeholder alignment around launch objectives, adoption priorities, and business outcomes.
Identify and address commercialization risks, adoption barriers, and dependencies that may impact launch effectiveness or customer outcomes.
Market Insights & Commercialization Planning
Partner with Product, Market Management, and Marketing teams to understand product positioning, target audiences, market strategies, and commercialization objectives.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer expectations, and emerging industry developments.
Gather and synthesize Voice of Customer and Voice of Field feedback to identify adoption barriers, commercialization opportunities, and customer needs.
Translate market, client, and stakeholder insights into recommendations that strengthen commercialization strategies and business outcomes.
Adoption, Performance & Value Realization
Define commercialization success measures and adoption objectives in partnership with Product and business leadership.
Monitor adoption, utilization, launch effectiveness, and commercialization performance indicators.
Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, accelerate adoption, and increase business value.
Present commercialization insights, adoption trends, stakeholder feedback, and business outcome recommendations to leadership.
Lead post-launch assessments and continuous improvement efforts focused on adoption and value realization.
Commercialization Capability Development
Influence the evolution of PRR commercialization frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
Establish scalable and repeatable commercialization approaches across the Transaction Banking Product portfolio.
Champion commercialization excellence and adoption-focused thinking across products, capabilities, and strategic initiatives.
Support the continued maturation of PRR as the commercialization capability for Global Transaction Banking.
Required Experience
10-15+ years of progressive experience in product commercialization, go-to-market strategy, product management, transaction banking, treasury management, commercial payments, product marketing, market activation, change leadership, or related disciplines.
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale commercialization, adoption, or market activation initiatives within financial services.
Strong understanding of Transaction Banking, Treasury Management, Payments, Commercial Banking, or related financial services environments.
Proven success influencing senior leaders and driving alignment across highly matrixed organizations.
Experience developing commercialization strategies, adoption programs, stakeholder engagement approaches, and commercialization performance measures.
Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
