Job Description: The Treasury Management Officer (TMO) II is an independent advisor who is accountable to develop new Treasury Management (TM) business and expand TM relationships. Possesses a proven track record of growing revenue through portfolio fee expansion and new sales. They are a critical thinker who is orientated toward executing on a business plan to attain their revenue goals. A skilled negotiator possessing the business acumen to balance customer orientation with productive results. As a skilled communicator and presenter, the TMO II will represent Treasury Management and TD Bank by participating and demonstrating a willingness to present in strategic settings.
Depth & Scope:
Builds and maintains productive and collaborative relationships with the Relationship Managers and other channel sales partners
Serves as the trusted advisor for clients with cash management needs to develop, manage and retain profitable customer relationships
Independently creates and executes a sales and marketing strategy that achieves established market penetration, cross-sell, revenue and customer acquisition goals
Expands and retains business customers by identifying needs and challenging customers with insights
Demonstrates ability to lead the prospecting effort and coordinate a deal team to pursue opportunities
Partners with Relationship Managers in performing strategic dialogs to turn prospects into clients
Leads or participates in relationship management by identifying customer needs, provide solutions, make in-person customer calls
Advises Relationship Managers on fee revenue decisions
Manages portfolio to deepen existing relationships through proactive identification of solutions to meet customer needs. Partner with Relationship Manager's in identifying opportunities for clients and prospects
Builds and maintains strong networks with Centers of Influence (COI's)
Collaborates with Relationship Managers on customer relationships to ensure unified approach to meeting customer Banking needs
Partners with Sales Associate to deliver comprehensive recommendations based on customer cash management needs, relationship reviews and leadership to provide an excellent customer experience
Ensures customers and internal partners are leveraging the proper cash management functions: Treasury Management Solutions, Service and Implementation and partner appropriately with Sales Associates
Advances the TD Treasury Management brand by using industry expertise, conducting in-market customer and prospect presentations, seminars, lunch & learns, etc.
Records accurately sales activities such as pipeline opportunities, calls, and customer notes in Salesforce
Follows procedural guidelines to leverage Implementation team to ensuring superior on-boarding and excellent client experience
Accountable for document origination and execution for Master Cash Management Agreement, Product(s) and Customer Due Diligence
Be the subject matter expert on all Treasury Management
Represents the organization at various industry conferences, regional events, regional business meetings, in-market functions, and with regional centers of influence both internally and externally.
Speaks at Treasury Management and industry segment events
Adheres to all Risk policies and procedures
Possesses financial acumen and provide relationship revenue advice to Relationship Managers
Navigates the bank to deliver relationship revenue and an excellent customer experience
Education & Experience:
4-year degree or equivalent experience
7+ years related experience required
Proven sales skills (e.g. closing, client retention)
Proven ability to interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner to provide exceptional customer service and grow business
Proven Interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to successfully negotiate and persuade
Proven organizational and time management skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proven PC skills; proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
