IQVIA is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant, AI & Commercial Analytics to help shape the future of AI-enabled healthcare consulting in Switzerland. This hybrid role combines strategic consulting, business development, and AI solution leadership. The successful candidate will partner with pharmaceutical and healthcare clients to identify commercial business challenges and translate them into innovative AI-enabled solutions that drive measurable impact.

As part of the Swiss Analytics & Advisory team, this person will work directly with senior commercial stakeholders across pharmaceutical affiliates while collaborating closely with AI specialists from specialized EMEA solution teams. The role will be responsible for driving the adoption, localization, and commercialization of AI solutions in Switzerland, while ensuring alignment with broader regional AI strategies, platforms, and best practices.

The ideal candidate combines a strong consulting background in life sciences with a practical understanding of modern AI technologies, including Generative AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled business processes.

Role & Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Consulting

• Serve as a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical and healthcare clients on commercial strategy, analytics, and AI-enabled transformation.

• Lead consulting engagements from opportunity identification and proposal development through delivery and follow-up.

• Build strong relationships with commercial stakeholders across Commercial roles, including analytics, sales, marketing and launch excellence.

• Translate client challenges into scalable AI, analytics, and data-driven solutions.

• Deliver executive-level presentations and communicate complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ensure successful project delivery, client satisfaction, and long-term partnership development.

Business Development

• Identify and develop new opportunities for AI-enabled consulting services within existing and prospective accounts.

• Support and lead the development of new project methodologies, project proposals and commercial offerings.

• Collaborate with account teams, Swiss A&A colleagues, and subject matter experts to position IQVIA AI capabilities effectively.

• Contribute to business growth through thought leadership, internal initiatives, client meetings, and market development activities.

AI Solution Leadership

• Act as the Swiss lead for AI-related consulting offerings and solutions within Analytics & Advisory.

• Partner closely with EMEA AI teams to deploy, adapt, and scale AI solutions for the Swiss market.

• Identify local market needs and provide feedback into broader AI product, platform, and solution roadmaps.

• Support the design and development of AI-enabled solutions.

• Drive awareness and adoption of emerging AI capabilities across clients and internal teams.

Innovation & Capability Building

• Stay current on developments in Generative AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and digital transformation.

• Contribute to internal capability-building initiatives, training programs, and knowledge-sharing activities.

• Help establish best practices for AI solution design, governance, and responsible AI adoption.

• Mentor junior consultants and analysts on the application of AI in commercial life sciences consulting.

Your Profile

Professional Experience

• 5 to 8+ years of experience in management consulting, analytics consulting, commercial excellence, strategy consulting, AI solution consulting, or a related role within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or life sciences.

• Demonstrated experience managing consulting engagements and delivering high-impact projects on time and within budget.

• Proven success working with senior client stakeholders and leading client-facing discussions.

• Experience identifying business opportunities, developing proposals, and contributing to revenue growth.

• Consulting experience is required, ideally with exposure to commercial strategy, analytics, AI transformation, or technology-enabled business transformation.

Life Sciences & Commercial Expertise

• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical commercial functions, such as sales force effectiveness, segmentation and targeting, omnichannel engagement, launch excellence, commercial analytics, customer engagement, forecasting, and performance management.

• Good understanding of pharmaceutical industry trends, market dynamics, healthcare ecosystems, and common strategic and operational challenges faced by life sciences clients.

• Ability to shape analytics and AI use cases in a way that is relevant, pragmatic, and valuable for commercial stakeholders.

AI & Technology Expertise

• Strong understanding of AI and Generative AI concepts and applications in a business and life sciences context.

• Familiarity with large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, AI agents, copilots, machine learning workflows, data engineering, and modern analytics platforms.

• Experience translating business requirements into AI-enabled solutions, prototypes, or scalable offerings.

• Understanding of cloud ecosystems and how AI solutions can be deployed responsibly and securely in enterprise environments.

• Hands-on experience with AI solution development, prompt engineering, analytics platforms, data science workflows, Python, Databricks, or similar tools is highly desirable.

Leadership & Consulting Skills

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking capabilities.

• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and business writing skills.

• Ability to navigate both commercial and technical discussions effectively.

• Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities, with the ability to guide junior team members and contribute to team development.

• Experience working effectively in cross-functional, multidisciplinary, and international teams.

• Fluency in English is required. German language skills are a plus.

Education

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Business Analytics, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

• MBA, PhD, or other advanced degree is advantageous, particularly where combined with hands-on AI, analytics, or life sciences experience.

• Additional certifications in AI, cloud technologies, data science, responsible AI, or consulting methodologies are a plus.
