Location: Tannochside – office based Contract: Full time, Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm Salary: £28,198.09 per annum
Mears provides temporary accommodation to asylum seekers whilst their claim is being assessed in three regions: Northeast, Yorkshire and Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Mears work in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing and create specialist housing for people with care needs.
About The Role
We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Administrator to join our team in Tannochside. This is a busy, process-driven role supporting front line operations across Scotland, ensuring records, communications and administrative processes are managed accurately and efficiently.
Working closely with operational teams, you will manage a high-volume central inbox, support communication processes, maintain accurate records and systems, and help ensure key tasks are completed within agreed timescales. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organisation and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to front line teams, ensuring information is processed accurately, records are maintained and service delivery is supported through effective back-office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the central Scotland inbox and responding to queries appropriately
Completing administrative processes including mail merges and communications to service users
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring information is up to date on company systems
Supporting regional teams with a range of administrative duties
Monitoring and tracking process-driven tasks and escalating issues when required
Liaising with operational managers and field-based teams to ensure actions are completed
Supporting compliance requirements and contractual obligations through accurate administration
Providing ad hoc support, project assistance and cover for colleagues where required
Key Criteria
Previous administration experience
Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to prioritise workloads effectively
Strong communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Process-driven approach with the ability to follow procedures accurately
