Job Description:
We're looking for a technically-skilled QA professional who combines deep expertise in test automation (Playwright) with product ownership mindset. You'll bridge the gap between quality assurance and product strategy, ensuring our applications are both technically robust and aligned with user needs.
Design and implement automated test suites using Playwright for web applications across multiple browsers and platforms
Develop and maintain test infrastructure, including CI/CD integration, test environments, and reporting dashboards
Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and user experience issues beyond automated coverage
Create and execute manual test plans for new features, releases, and regression cycles
Define quality metrics and standards, including test coverage targets and defect tracking protocols
Collaborate with developers to reproduce bugs, provide detailed reproduction steps, and verify fixes
Gather and analyze user feedback to understand product pain points and opportunities
Prioritize testing efforts based on product roadmap and user impact
Participate in product planning meetings to represent QA perspective and technical constraints
Document product requirements from a tester's viewpoint to improve clarity and testability
Track and report on product quality metrics, communicating risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders
Advocate for user needs and quality standards in feature discussions and release decisions
Manage test case backlogs and define acceptance criteria for test readiness
3+ years of QA/testing experience with proven expertise in test automation
2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright (or equivalent modern web automation framework)
Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation in modern development workflows
Solid grasp of product management principles and user-centered thinking
Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate technical and product concerns to non-technical stakeholders
Self-driven mindset with ability to take ownership and make decisions independently
Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript
Familiarity with API testing (REST, GraphQL)
Background in agile/scrum methodologies
Experience with performance and accessibility testing
Knowledge of cross-browser and mobile testing strategies
Exposure to data analytics or product analytics tools
Product management certification or coursework
Test Automation: Playwright, test frameworks (Jest, Mocha, or similar), debugging tools
Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency
CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
Reporting: Test reporting tools, dashboarding, defect tracking systems
Version Control: Git
APIs & Debugging: Browser DevTools, Network analysis, API testing
Analytical thinking and problem-solving
Strong attention to detail
Ability to balance speed with quality
Cross-functional collaboration
Curiosity and continuous learning mindset
Empathy for end-users and their needs
Comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities
This position offers a unique opportunity to shape both product quality and strategy. You'll grow beyond traditional QA boundaries, developing product sense while maintaining technical expertise in test automation. You'll have direct influence on what gets built and how it's validated.
Someone who sees testing not just as catching bugs, but as a critical lens for understanding and improving the product. You should be comfortable in technical discussions with engineers while also thinking strategically about user impact. You want to be heard in product decisions, not just informed by them.
