Role Overview:
The Tableau Field Engagement Lead will join the Analytics Center of Excellence's Strategic Initiatives and Field Engagement team. This person has a crucial role in creating strategic and operational support structures for our Global Tableau sales teams. This is a multi-faceted role which will span strategic planning, sales strategy, marketing, sales programs, and analytics – requiring a mix of market & business analysis, program/project management, and business operational support.
The individual in this role will work on a variety of strategic and operational projects across functions, for example evaluating strategies to integrate Tableau into customer engagements, sales programs, field events, SICs, planning, performance tracking, and other initiatives. The role requires significant interaction with various areas of the organization such as regional strategy teams, sales leadership, field marketing teams, product, Cloud GTM teams, analytics teams, other COEs and provides regular exposure to senior executives. A successful candidate will have relentless curiosity and possess a passion for extracting insights from data and converting ideas to action.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, enablement, sales programs, etc.) to ensure cohesive messaging, consistent branding, and a seamless customer experience across all initiatives.
Serve as the liaison between the newly integrated sales support teams across 15 OUs and the Tableau COE, ensuring that Tableau’s priorities, content, and customer focus are integrated into OU field activation strategies.

Monitor and report on the performance of field activation programs, using data and insights to refine strategies and improve future activation efforts.
Collaborate with global and regional strategic customer activation teams to ensure support for key Tableau customer meetings within a variety of program such as SIC and/or executive tracks at events.
Lead or assist in the execution of Tableau-specific events, including, Tableau All hands, Learning Summits, Tableau Conference, DataFam Europe, Dreamforce, and for Tableau ELT meetings, with responsibilities shifting based on event needs.
Manage and support additional projects brought to the COE ensuring successful execution and alignment with broader business goals.
Experience / Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience, in sales, sales strategy/business operations, project management, sales programs and/or marketing roles.
3+ years of experience leading project workstreams and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
Ability to work cross functionally and manage projects with stakeholders from other global teams such as, sales, sales programs, sales leadership, product and more.
Experience influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders, regardless of reporting structure.
Ability to translate complex information into easily consumable insights & narratives.
Experience with defining analysis requirements, working with analysts and get hands on with data when necessary.
Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions.
The typical base salary range for this position is $117,400 - $177,600 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $140,900 - $193,700 annually.
The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
