Utilize technical knowledge to prepare quotation packages based on the product content and technical knowledge.
Strong understanding of medium voltage drive systems (2.3kV–13.8kV range typical).
Establish and maintain the best possible commercial relations with the present and potential customers by effectively employing the art of salesmanship, application engineer, product knowledge, knowledge of customers business and organization, and competitive products and activities.
Assess project drawings and specifications, as well as direction from clients and sales to deliver comprehensive solutions to RFQs (Requests for Quotations).
Interpret customer requirements and match products to customer specifications/drawings.
Collaborate with Sales to ensure the quote is technically compatible, competitive, and clarify that all requirements of the project are met.
Understand the Sales strategy for the quotation opportunity to ensure quality output.
Work directly with sales and clients to design and go to market with consultative solutions that meet the needs of the client.
Understand and analyze documents and communicate contractual, technical, and commercial terms with a working understanding of bid strategies and market conditions.
Log all quotations to ensure visibility for management and orders won.
Work with Line of Business to come up with new strategies to help improve the quotation process.
Travel: Occasional travel <10% for internal training.
Hand-off a quotation package with comments on exceptions and built-in value for use by Sales in customer presentation.
Continue to collaborate during the process as needed to ensure proper order conversion.
Ensure clean order entry and work directly with the engineering team to ensure all items were captured during time of quotation.

5 + years of experience working with Drives in roles such as Quotations, Sales, Engineering or another related field.
Familiarity with industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Water/Wastewater, and Power Generation.
Knowledgeable in low voltage equipment, drives, digital metering equipment, NEC equipment standards and local codes.
Ability to read and understand specs and drawings and identify motor information and type of application.
Familiarity with industry standards and certifications, such as ISO 9000, ISO 9001, and ISO 9002, as well as NEMA, PIP, IEC, CSA and UL standard
Understanding of services associated with drives.
Strong general financial knowledge in cost analysis, margin calculation, selling price determination, discounting strategies, etc.
Knowledge of SE tools such as bFO, SE Advantage, product configurators
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
