As a Fund Client Services Associate/Vice President within the Securities Services Operations team, you will take ownership of client service management, ensuring queries are answered, problems are resolved, and issues are escalated. You will be responsible for the production and delivery of financial statements and related accounting information, as well as oversight of compliance and performance reports. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless service and support, while maintaining strong governance and controls. You will be empowered to drive process improvements and contribute to the continuous development of the team.

Job responsibilities
Produce and validate International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)-compliant and regulatory reports accurately and on time
Take ownership of reporting activities, hub governance, and service change project management
Analyze client accounting records and escalate potential issues as needed
Coordinate client visits for service reviews, training, and technology updates
Lead communication between internal and external parties to resolve accounting or product-related issues
Maintain orderly records for each client, including service level agreements and audit documentation
Support continuous development of processes and controls within the group
Train and develop junior team members
Ensure strong governance, controls, and risk management across all activities
Deliver exceptional client service and resolve queries efficiently
Influence and negotiate for results in a dynamic environment
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
At least 3 years of experience in financial reporting, audit, fund accounting, fund administration, client servicing, and/or banking operations related roles
Analytical and problem-solving skills with operational experience in other products
Knowledge of stock market practices and data vendor systems, such as Bloomberg
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Visual Basic for Applications, Access, and Word
Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written Japanese in order communicate with stakeholders in Japan
Professional approach to delivering quality client service
Effective communication skills within a small team
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Prior experience with International Financial Standards (IFRS) or International Accounting Standards (IAS) is a plus
People management experience will be an advantage
