As a Strategic Program Director in the Chief Data Office Strategy and Execution team, you will lead enterprise transformation programs that modernize data and privacy management and governance. You will manage large, cross-functional initiatives from initiation through implementation, including planning, requirements, delivery governance, and go-live readiness. You will partner with product and technology teams and stakeholder groups across business and corporate functions to drive outcomes aligned to the data roadmap. You will define success measures, manage risks and dependencies, and provide clear executive-level reporting on progress and results.
You will operate in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment where influence, structured execution, and clear communication are essential. You will build alignment across diverse stakeholders, translate strategic priorities into executable plans, and ensure delivery teams remain focused on timelines, scope, and quality. You will also coach team members and strengthen program execution practices to improve delivery predictability and stakeholder experience.
Job responsibilities
Lead strategic change initiatives end-to-end from initiation through completion, managing scope, timelines, budget, and quality
Elicit and prioritize requirements across business lines, corporate functions, and enterprise stakeholders
Partner with product and technology teams to oversee design, development, testing, implementation, and go-live transition
Build business cases for strategic programs and support funding requests aligned to the roadmap
Communicate roadmap priorities, trade-offs, and delivery status to key stakeholders and senior leaders
Establish governance forums to drive decisions, maintain alignment, and ensure effective stakeholder engagement
Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams and drive accountability for agreed outcomes and timelines
Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and roadblocks early and escalate when needed with clear options and impacts
Define program success measures and metrics aligned to organizational goals and report progress through actionable insights
Develop trusted relationships across stakeholder groups to enable timely decisions and sustained adoption
Coach and develop team members, promoting high performance and continuous improvement in execution practices
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
Ten years of experience leading strategic programs and/or transformation initiatives in a complex, cross-functional environment [Region check: EMEA job descriptions typically avoid specifying years; confirm hiring location.]
Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end delivery (planning, requirements, execution governance, implementation, and go-live)
Proven ability to manage tight delivery timelines while maintaining strong control of scope, risks, and dependencies
Strong ability to build consensus and progress initiatives in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels, including senior leadership
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly and succinctly
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience in data, analytics, and/or digital product delivery within large-scale organizations
Knowledge of data management and governance concepts, including operating models, controls, and stewardship
Exposure to modern data platforms and/or data architecture concepts
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other relevant advanced degree
Experience facilitating structured workshops to drive alignment, decisions, and outcomes
