We are seeking a capable Tools and Test Automation Engineer with experience developing and optimizing automation tools and processes across safety-critical avionics lifecycles.
This individual will identify workflow gaps, modernize existing tooling, and deliver scalable, high-reliability solutions that strengthen the development and testing infrastructure. This individual will provide technical expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.
Location: The role can be onsite (CT), hybrid, or fully remote.
Responsibilities
Define, develop and maintain automation tools and frameworks to support the software development and verification lifecycles.
Collaborate across systems, hardware, software, verification, and certification teams.
Define, solve and defend technical decisions to stakeholders while guiding technical implementation.
Ensure efficient and accurate capturing of performance and testing requirements.
Enhance and optimize workflows to improve reliability and throughput.
Ensure tooling adheres to high standards of robustness, performance, and scalability.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new tools to ensure both technical and project objectives are achieved.
Support development efforts in alignment to developed schedules and quality objectives while interfacing with stakeholders to communicate technical status.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline.
Strong experience in interfacing with embedded systems.
Understanding of automating Human Machine Interfacing (HMI).
Applicable hands-on 5+ years of experience with automation.
Strong understanding of:
DO-330 tool qualification is beneficial but not required.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation skills.
Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
U.S. Citizenship is required. Dual citizenship should be disclosed.
Able to travel approximately up to four weeks in a year.
