Job Description

Reporting to the Vehicle Fleet Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the general and preventive maintenance of various rolling vehicles (trucks, trailers, forklifts) and performing diagnostics and necessary repairs based on requests from delivery team members and the immediate supervisor.

• Salary: $38.68/h + Evening premium of $1.25/h

• Start Date: As soon as possible

• Schedule: Evening Shift

• Status: Permanent

• Location: Saint-Laurent

Mandate Description

• Inspect, adjust, correct, assemble, and disassemble all components and systems on heavy vehicles;

• Perform general vehicle maintenance (oil changes, filters, lubrication, etc.);

• Execute all requested preventive maintenance operations on all types of rolling vehicles (trucks, trailers, forklifts, etc.);

• Perform repair diagnostics to determine the nature of defects and failures to specify the extent of repairs;

• Draft the list of parts required to perform necessary repairs;

• Conduct full vehicle inspections;

• All other related tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Completed a professional studies diploma (DEP) in heavy road vehicle mechanics or any other related field;

• Possession of a Preventive Maintenance Program (PEP) card is an asset.

• Possess 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the field;

• Be in excellent physical condition;

• Possess excellent computer skills;

• Good analytical ability and attention to detail;

• Have a very good sense of organization;

• Ability to work with minimal supervision;

• Good priority management and ability to meet deadlines;

• Good ability to work in a team.
