Mid-Level
The Manufacturing Operator (Salts) role is responsible for executing production plan, task and operate the assigned equipment, inclusive of supporting achievement of production objectives with required standard on product quality, production process and safety. The selected candidate should have a basic working knowledge to support processing and packaging of finished concentrates that is optimally produced to meet safety and quality specifications.
What you will be responsible for:
Operate assigned processing and/or packaging equipment according to the standardized operating procedures, guides and manual
Render correct cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment following Good Manufacturing practices
Conduct checking and inspection of materials to ensure it meets specifications for processing and production of salts and dry part concentrates
Prepare raw materials according to the plan and quality specifications
Move raw materials and batch concentrate from staging area to processing area. This may require driving fork trucks and/or motorized and manual pallet stacker
Perform product and package change over
Perform SAP applications for transacting process order, good receipt and inventory
Operate the system manually or with the aid of basic process automation
Follow safe operation of dust collection system along with other Safety precautions and Safety criteria
Perform Basic Equipment Care, troubleshooting and maintenance of the assigned machine to minimize inefficiency
Perform 5S, routine cleaning for responsible areas
Practice and adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OE Eight (8) wastes and Continuous improvement (Kaizen) culture
Perform Visual Management Board update, recording and documentation and maintenance of necessary operational records
Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Site System and ensure that a high standard of Health and Safety is always adhered to on site
Any other ad Hoc duties and projects as assigned
What you will need to have:
NITEC Certification or equivalent preferred
Minimum 3 years of technical experience in food and beverage industry would be preferred
Basic working knowledge in production operations
Working knowledge of processing and packaging equipment
Basic troubleshooting experience
Basic Equipment Care experience
Basic Computer skills – Email, Word, Excel
Knowledge of SAP applications an advantage
Knowledge of er5S concept and execution an advantage
Adhere to Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedure
Follow Company Safety Policy
Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment processes
Adhere to Chemical Storage and Management processes
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety (Housekeeping, personal hygiene, pest control, access control, cleaning facility design)
Experience in basic quality checks (visual inspection) and analytical testing
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
Driving Forklift, motorized and manual pallet stacker an advantage
