The Continuous Improvement & Capability Development Manager is responsible for leading the BCCA manufacturing excellence agenda across all plants and markets. The role drives deployment of SPARK, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and Capability Building programs to improve productivity, operational performance, employee engagement and organizational capability. The position coordinates cross-functional initiatives, standardizes best practices, supports site transformation roadmaps and ensures sustainable capability growth through training, coaching, governance and performance management across the BCCA region
Lead the deployment and governance of the SPARK operating system across all BCCA manufacturing sites.
Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles, tools and behaviors.
Drive adoption of standardized work, visual management daily management systems, tier meetings and problem-solving methodologies.
Ensure alignment of SPARK programs with business priorities and site transformation roadmaps.
Facilitate maturity assessments and continuous improvement reviews across plants.
Develop and execute the regional Continuous Improvement strategy.
Identify productivity opportunities and support delivery of annual savings targets.
Coordinate improvement pipelines and ensure robust project management practices.
Drive loss elimination initiatives focused on safety, quality, service, cost and sustainability.
Promote data-driven decision-making and performance improvement culture.
Build and execute the manufacturing capability development roadmap across BCCA.
Design and coordinate training programs for frontline associates, team leaders, supervisors and managers.
Develop capability frameworks and learning pathways for key manufacturing roles.
Ensure effective onboarding and upskilling processes.
Coach site leadership teams on Lean leadership behaviors and continuous improvement culture.
Lead regional transformation initiatives related to manufacturing excellence.
Support implementation of new digital tools, systems and ways of working.
Drive change management activities to ensure sustainable adoption.
Capture, standardize and deploy best practices across BCCA sites.
Coordinate internal and external benchmarking activities.
Build communities of practice for SPARK, Lean and Capability Development.
Foster collaboration across manufacturing locations and functions.
Establish governance routines and performance review processes.
Track key KPIs related to SPARK, capability and engagement.
Prepare executive updates and progress reports for leadership teams.
Monitor risks and ensure mitigation plans are in place for critical initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Lean Six Sigma certification preferred (Green Belt or Black Belt).
5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Lean or Continuous Improvement.
Experience leading cross-functional transformation projects.
Experience in capability building, training and organizational development.
Experience working in a multi-site and multicultural environment.
