RINA is currently recruiting for a Safety Manager to join its office in Chicago, IL within the North America Infrastructure & Mobility Division.
$165,000 - $185,000 commensurate with education and experience
RINA is seeking to hire an experienced Construction Safety Manager to be responsible for ensuring safety compliance in an urban transit related capital construction program by developing and implementing safety training modules, conducting regular site inspections, and reviewing contractor safety plans.
Develop, implement, and train personnel on safety modules that support construction activities in an urban transit environment
Conduct periodic site safety inspections, report on findings, and make recommendations for improvement
Perform periodic reviews of Contractor safety plans
Review construction activities for safety compliance
Review proposed construction activities relative to safety compliance in coordination with operational and maintenance functions
Draft reports, compile data, and present findings as required
15+ years of experience in the construction safety industry
5+ years of experience in an urban transit environment
Deep knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (specifically OSHA 1910 and 1926)
Familiarity with FTA’s Rail Transit Roadway Worker Protection (RWP) program
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently
Bachelor’s degree preferred
CSM, CSP, or SMP certification preferred
