EG.D, s.r.o. owns, operates, manages, and develops the electricity distribution system. We supply electricity to more than 1.5 million customers in the South Moravian and South Bohemian regions, and partly in the Zlín, Olomouc, and Vysočina regions. We ensure that electricity reaches households, businesses, and cities quickly, safely, and reliably. Therefore, we invest approximately five billion Czech crowns annually in the renewal and expansion of low and high voltage distribution networks, with a large part of this going to the implementation of smart technologies and digitalization.

For the East Moravia Construction department, we are looking for a colleague for the position of Head. In this team, we will be responsible for project preparation and construction of the VN, NN distribution network and related facilities in the Otrokovice and Prostějov areas. We are therefore looking for you in Otrokovice, Prostějov, or Boskovice.

What will you be doing with us?

• We will entrust you with managing the construction of VN and NN distribution system facilities in the given region according to unified principles and centrally set rules, while reflecting local conditions and ensuring regional needs of the given region.

• You will lead a team of approximately 20 colleagues.

• You will be responsible for fulfilling an investment plan of over 1 billion CZK annually while meeting safety, quality, technical, and economic indicators of the managed areas.

• We will involve you in the creation and active collaboration on setting up construction processes, including the creation of internal management documentation and the deployment of supportive IT tools in relation to efficient contribution.

• You can expect active support in deploying new technologies, implementing legislative changes, and fulfilling strategic and corporate goals.

• Your task will also be the development of your led team towards higher efficiency of the investment process.

• You will be involved in communication with internal customers, contractors, land owners, and state administration within the scope of defined competencies.

• Part of the Head role is the motivation and professional development of employees in the led workplaces and creating favorable working conditions with an emphasis on occupational safety.

• Cooperation with other departments in the group is a matter of course.

What should an ideal candidate meet?

Perfection does not have to be among your qualities, but we cannot do without some qualities…

• You have a university education, electrotechnical field an advantage (at least secondary technical education in electrotechnical field is a condition)

• You are the holder of qualification according to NV No. 194/2022: a knowledgeable person for managing activities – electrical engineer §7, or you meet the conditions for obtaining it

• You can boast at least four years of experience in the construction of the distribution system and are ready to take over team leadership

• You are proficient in energy legislation and have a general overview of related legislation (Building Act, etc.)

• You master basic MS Office applications without problems and have an active approach to working with data

• Ability to lead and shape a team and organizational skills are your strong points

• You have a sense of teamwork and we can rely on you to create a positively motivated work environment

• Reliability, responsibility, and analytical thinking are inherent to you

• You have a driving license group B and experience in driving a motor vehicle

• You are capable of ordinary work communication in Czech, both orally and in writing
