Mid-Level
We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented IT Support Engineer to join our Local IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day IT support, managing IT assets throughout their lifecycle, maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment, and supporting both local and international IT initiatives. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset. The position also includes collaboration with international project teams and occasional business travel.
Provide first and second-level technical support to local users
Respond promptly to service requests, incidents, and technical issue
Support users in person, via telephone, remote assistance, and email
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, operating systems and business applications, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices, network-connected equipment
Coordinate repairs, replacements, and upgrades of IT equipment
Support user account administration and access management
Maintain and manage Active Directory users, groups, and permissions
Assist with workstation deployment, configuration, and policy implementation
Support local network and infrastructure operations
Participate in regional and international IT projects
Cooperate with central IT teams and external suppliers
Support rollout activities, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
Travel occasionally when required for project activities and training
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or IT Infrastructure role
Experience managing IT hardware and software assets
Experience supporting Windows-based environments, Microsoft 365 and Office applications, and Active Directory
Good knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and networking concepts, including LAN, WLAN, and VPN
Familiarity with endpoint security and antivirus solutions;
Experience with IT asset management and inventory systems is an advantage
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and task-prioritization skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Team-player mindset with a proactive and reliable approach
You speak English fluently; German language is considered a plus
