Main Purpose of the Position
We are looking for a Senior Procurement Buyer to manage the procurement of goods, works, and services within the assigned indirect spend categories.
The role will be responsible for ensuring competitive sourcing, effective supplier management, timely delivery, cost optimization, and compliance with procurement processes. The Senior Procurement Buyer will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and regional teams to ensure business needs are met efficiently and sustainably.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end procurement activities for assigned indirect spend categories.
Implement procurement principles, guidelines, and procedures within the area of responsibility.
Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, pricing, and market conditions.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, service, and business requirements.
Conduct supplier negotiations and support the development of favorable commercial and contractual terms.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and monitor their performance.
Ensure the timely and complete delivery of goods, works, and services in line with agreed requirements.
Resolve supplier-related issues, including delivery, quality, pricing, and service-related concerns.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles.
Support the development of procurement plans and identify potential new suppliers and markets.
Ensure accurate and timely procurement data in SAP and ARIBA systems.
Coordinate with customs brokers and relevant stakeholders for international procurement activities when required.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regional procurement teams to understand business requirements and ensure effective procurement solutions.
Prepare procurement reports and provide analysis on KPIs, savings, supplier performance, and other relevant indicators.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, digitalization, and increased procurement efficiency.
Support procurement projects and contribute to the implementation of new initiatives and changes.
Main Requirements:
University degree, preferably in Procurement, Economics, Management, Logistics, Finance, or Law.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply.
Additional education or training in procurement, supply management, or negotiation is an advantage.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of SAP and ARIBA is an advantage.
Fluency in English.
Good understanding of cost and pricing structures and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles.
