Entry Level
This role will be regarded as an entry level operations position to assist in special projects and continuous improvement activities which will develop an understanding in project management, warehousing principles, standardised work documentation creation and maintenance as well as implementing GMS Principles. This will also involve management of occupational health and safety in the workplace, interaction with people, communication skills, analytical skills.
Position Tasks and Responsibilities:
Participating in tasks for project coordination for continuous improvement solutions/ initiatives including CAD layout updates
Communicating and engaging different levels in the organization where there is a process change, they are responsible for managing
Understand and promote Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) principles, including maintaining the Business Plan Deployment boards.
Assist in highlighting and addressing occupational health and safety issues as they arise in projects responsible for managing as well as reporting
Assist with the development and implement standard operating procedures and ensure they are adhered to for standard work processes, taking steps to modify them where necessary
Creating simple data reports for operations under instruction of the Operations Manager
Verifying system generated daily reporting jobs are run and sent to recipients
Assist in maintaining operating work queues to ensure they are cleared timely
Assist with manpower and labour planning
Support Workplace of Choice activities and events
Assist with Australia Packaging Covenant signatory requirements & Environmental reports
Assist with identifying DG products missing Safety Data Sheets
Knowledge:
Some experience in the workforce, preferably with customer interaction
Wants a career in operations, supervision or industrial engineering
Strong understanding of customer service and expectations
Ability to follow directives and deliver results
Capable of self managing a continuous stream of multiple priorities and meeting related deadlines.
Self-awareness and able to handle a broad spectrum of people
Monitoring, sustaining and improving new and existing processes
Very capable computer skills including MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel
Basic level of AutoCAD will be an advantage

Experience/Education:
Engineering Degree, or
Logistics and / or Supply Chain Management degree, or
Business Administration Degree
