Diageo Canada Inc is looking for a Bottling & Logistics Manager for our site located in Valleyfield. Diageo Canada Inc is a global company specializing in the production and bottling of alcoholic products. Our products are known worldwide: Smirnoff, Guinness, Crown Royal, Captain Morgan, to name a few.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The role of the manager will be to lead their team and manage the operations of the bottling & logistics department with the commitment of people while following established best practices to deliver the best possible performance. The incumbent is responsible for the Health & Safety of their department's employees, product quality, operating costs, and the efficiency of the lines and related operations. They are also responsible for meeting the production plans established jointly with the planning team to meet both customer requirements and company needs. Finally, the Bottling & Logistics Manager is part of the management team and participates in the strategic plan and smooth operation of the site in partnership with the union to deliver our mission of Being the best, together, through the talent and commitment of our people.

Objective of the position:

• Ensures that established health, safety, quality, and environmental standards are met.

• Provide a clear strategy to determine bottling standards and performance objectives in line with the site's mission and the North American supply group's vision.

• Prepare the operating budget for their sector and ensure it is adhered to.

• Produce performance reports and explain deviations.

• Ensure that the production plan meets customer orders and short and long-term inventory objectives.

• Ensure logistical demands are met and optimized to provide flawless service to our customers.

• Secure the future by implementing best practices and implementing new systems and technologies to drive improvements in all aspects of performance and efficiency.

• Ensure the team is able to deliver brand renovation projects and the launch of new products.

• Coach and develop production supervisors in achieving strategic objectives.

• Develop a culture of engagement within the team that encourages a high-performing environment built around continuous improvement and capacity development.

• Develop a solid investment plan to effectively replace assets and meet the site's improvement and growth requirements.

• Participate in or lead major projects that support the site's strategic plan.

• Demonstrate rigor & transparency to ensure effective governance of our activities and always be ready for audits.

KNOWLEDGE – EXPERIENCE – SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, food science, chemistry, operations management, or equivalent experience and education.

• Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least three (3) years at the departmental management level.

• Demonstrates excellent execution agility with the use of continuous improvement tools and best practices.

• Inspires their team with excellent leadership and management skills.

• Invests in the talent of their people.

• Be at the forefront and build for the future.

• Possess excellent analytical skills and abilities to execute necessary changes and transformations.

• Be an excellent communicator and be able to influence effectively.

• Experience in the food or beverage industry in a manufacturing environment is an asset.

SALABERRY-DE-VALLEYFIELD, CANADA: SALARY RANGE IS FROM $92,250 TO $153,750 (ANNUAL)
