YOUR ROLE
The NPI & Quality Programs Engineer will play a key transversal role in ensuring the successful introduction of new products into manufacturing and driving strategic quality improvement programs with BEM in BSK plant.
The role will ensure that quality risks are proactively identified and mitigated throughout the NPI lifecycle, from product development and qualification through industrialization, ramp-up and mass production.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Quality activities across the NPI lifecycle and ensure quality readiness at key project milestones.
Define and monitor NPI Quality Plans, risk assessments, FMEA, Control Plans and qualification activities.
Identify potential quality risks early and drive effective preventive actions before mass production.
Coordinate cross-functional activities with R&D, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, Equipment, Supply Chain and Customer Quality.
Lead strategic Quality Programs targeting yield improvement, defect reduction, scrap reduction and process robustness.
Drive structured problem-solving and data-driven improvement initiatives for major quality gaps.
Monitor program KPIs, action plans and milestones, and provide regular management updates.
Ensure lessons learned and best practices are captured and deployed across products and programs.
Business Impact
This position will help us shift from reactive quality management to proactive quality prevention, ensuring quality is embedded earlier in the NPI process.
The role will directly contribute to:
Faster and more robust NPI ramp-up
Prevention of quality issues before mass production
Improved yield and manufacturing performance
Reduction of scrap, defects and Cost of Poor Quality
Reduced customer quality risks
Stronger cross-functional ownership and execution
Better capitalization and deployment of lessons learned
Key success indicators: NPI quality readiness, yield improvement, defect and scrap reduction, timely closure of critical actions, program execution and customer quality performance.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Engineer degree or Master in industrial engineering, electronics, or mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar job.
Good knowledge of assembly and test processes.
Strong knowledge of quality and production tools such as PCMS tool, LEMS, 8D tool, FMEA tool, Audit tool, etc.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Maturity and respect for others.
Sense of initiative and autonomy.
Good communication skills and active listening.
Strong written and spoken French and English.
