What are we looking for?

At BABEL Chile, we are looking for a Backend Developer Semi Senior to join one of our clients, participating in the development of integration solutions, microservices, and event-driven architectures in a highly complex technological environment.

We are looking for a profile with a solid foundation in Java and Spring Boot, experience working with integrations between systems, and knowledge of Cloud and containerized platforms.

What will you do?

• Develop and maintain backend solutions with Java and Spring Boot.

• Design and implement scalable and maintainable microservices.

• Build integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.

• Work with asynchronous solutions and event-driven architectures using Kafka and/or AWS SQS.

• Deploy and operate components in AWS and containerized environments.

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Develop unit tests and actively participate in code quality.

• Apply good practices such as SOLID, Clean Code, and secure development.

• Participate in CI/CD processes and agile work teams.

Key Requirements

• Java and Spring Boot.

• Development under microservices architecture.

• Integration and consumption of REST and SOAP APIs.

• AWS services.

• Docker and Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.

• SQL and NoSQL databases (ideally MongoDB and Redis).

• Messaging and asynchronous communication with Kafka and/or SQS.

• Git and CI/CD processes.

• Unit tests with JUnit.

• SOLID and Clean Code principles.

• Good security practices and knowledge of OWASP.

• Work under agile methodologies.

It will be a plus

We will especially value experience or knowledge in:

• Java 8 and Java 21.

• Spring Boot 2.7/3 and Spring WebFlux.

• AWS: S3, Lambda, EKS, and CloudWatch.

• Oracle SQL.

• GitLab CI/CD.

• Gradle and/or Maven.

• SonarQube, SAST, and DAST.

• UML and technical diagramming.

• TM Forum (TMF) standards.

• Experience in telecommunications or ecosystems where legacy platforms and modern architectures coexist.

What are we looking for in you?

A person with analytical and autonomous capacity, who enjoys working with integrations, microservices, and Cloud, and who can contribute good development practices and code quality.

We are especially interested in your ability to understand end-to-end processes and collaborate with different technical teams to build secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
