Mid-Level
The role is about handling the end-to-end planning and procurement process for a portfolio of products to ensure stock availability on time and in full whilst balancing stock levels by working closely with suppliers, factories, Commercial team, and New Product Development team. The role has to plan and liaise proactively with commercial and demand planning in operations to ensure supply and constraints are properly managed.
Specifically, the role is to:
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure production and delivery are on-time
Communicate with markets/customers on order/shipment status
Confirm all Commercial demand requests based on present and projected stock availability. Manages supply changes in a timely manner to strike for best balance of stock according to demand
Provide monthly plan to suppliers with accurate reports and analytics support
Analyses metrics, KPI and sales records regularly for at-risk and ad-hoc products
Communicate regularly with overseas office and suppliers on supply plan and Purchase Order (PO) confirmation
Evaluate opportunities and bottlenecks with production planning team
Handle PO process, such as PO issuing, PSI booking and goods receipt
Handle Phase in / Phase out, dying process and ensure reduction of obsolete materials
Plan materials and capacity for master PO activities
Negotiate with suppliers for reducing lead times or MOQ for specific orders outside of the agreed parameters
Handle documentation for payment and returned goods and maintain system information regarding material and price
Prepare supply planning reports as requested by Planning Managers
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or equivalent
Experienced in procurement or supply planning
Knowledge of manufacturing or customer goods
Work well and independently under tight schedule
Team player, responsible and willing to learn
Advanced user in Excel
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
Flexibility to travel to China to visit suppliers as and when required (infrequently and only day travel is required)
Good-to-have (not a must):
SAP APO experience
Understanding of planning activities from Finished goods to Materials in manufacturing
Understanding of small domestic appliances and seasonal products, such as heating and cooling products
