POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician is responsible for providing pharmacy services which include, but are not limited to, preparing and distributing pharmaceuticals, maintaining pharmacy records, packaging and shipping medications and operating/monitoring pharmacy automated technology systems,. The Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacists and/or the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to ensure delivery of high quality patient focused pharmacy service.
Position: Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician Department: Mail Order Pharmacy Schedule: Full Time, Evenings M-F 12:30-9pm
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
Maintains and performs medication fulfillment related competencies for central fill, traditional, and specialty prescriptions.
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and/or the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, supports the department in the ethical practice of pharmacy on a daily basis by providing effective, appropriate, and safe pharmacy services.
Communicates to pharmacists and/or pharmacy technician supervisor on malfunctioning equipment and unsafe working conditions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy by the hire date (Pharmacy Interns are not required to hold CPhT certification)
Must also have national certification from Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam of Certified Pharmacy Techs (exCPT), or within 6 months from start date
Pharmacy students who have completed 2 years of education in an approved college/school of pharmacy are eligible for pharmacy internship, and may be waived for the required experience
6 months - 1 year of work experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Work requires effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with hospital staff, patients, families/visitors, physicians, colleagues, and others.
Ability to speak the English language, read, interpret and follow complicated verbal and written instruction with precision, accuracy and dependability.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlines.
Math skills required; ability to perform work accurately and pay high attention to details, including being able to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios/proportions).
Basic computer proficiency inclusive of ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information.
Must maintain the required level of competency to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Compensation Range: $21.39- $30.05 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
