**Bookkeeper Associate**
We are currently looking for a motivated talent to join JTI Israel as an Bookkeeper Associate, based in Herzliya, Israel. We are looking for a motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will handle diverse accounting tasks, take a hands-on approach to daily financial operations, and play an integral part in our month-end closing processes. Position
As a Bookkepper, you will:
Daily Accounting Operations: Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including vendor invoices and bank reconciliations
Month-End Closing: Actively participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with JTI's standards
Payments & Cash Flow: Process local and international payments, monitor cash flow, and manage collection processes
Import & Logistics Accounting: Handle import-related financial transactions, shipping invoices, and custom clearances
Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement within financial workflows and demonstrate initiative to streamline operations
Statutory Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and submit accurate financial reports to local authorities (e.g., tax, VAT, social security), ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines
Requirements
Experience: 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper (Bookkeeping Type 2 certification – a must)
Software: Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with Priority ERP
Excel Skills: High proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, financial data manipulation)
Language: Good verbal and written English & Hebrew skills (capable of communicating with international vendors/partners & local authorities)
