RINA is currently recruiting for a Leghorn Marine Surveyor to join its office in Livorno within the Mediterranean and Africa Marine Division.
The intermediate Surveyor is to contribute to the organization's commitment to maritime safety, compliance, and excellence by applying knowledge of Rules, Regulations, and industry principles. The intermediate Surveyor supports the surveying team in performing routine inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and staying informed about evolving industry practices.

Master’s Degree
High School Diploma/GED in Naval Engineering
At least 4 years of experience as a Surveyor,
Proficiency in English language relevant with the scope of classification, statutory certification, related services and, before assignment, with future work.
Ability to develop a working knowledge of RINA Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and instructions, as well as the RINA Employee Safety Policy.
Ability to understand engineering plans and have a basic knowledge of shipbuilding practices and ship operations.
Ability, to perform new building surveys:

* to assess that hull, machinery and equipment have been maintained in compliance with rules and regulations by means of compulsory overall inspections, tests and trials, * to identify the deficiencies to be rectified (if any) and assess whether immediate repair is necessary or a condition may be issued with an appropriate due date, * to follow-up as required by rules and regulations any repair work or due to previous outstanding conditions, * to assess whether the deficiencies identified (if any) may be linked with potential failure of the Ship Management System, * to endorse Certificates, issue Reports and Status in compliance with rules and regulations.And/or:
testing activities:
* to assess the suitability of certified materials and products in compliance with applicable rules * to issue Certificates and prepare Reports and Status in compliance with procedures.Knowledge of ships' engineering systems and machinery.
Knowledge of computer programs or software packages related to job responsibilities.
Knowledge of related technical interfaces required for group project work.

The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria, and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).
The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €35,000 and €43,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies, and overall alignment with the role.
In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.
The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
