Your main mission as a Security Agent is to ensure the safety and security of the hotel premises, guests, and staff. This role involves managing security systems, responding to incidents, and maintaining a secure environment for everyone on-site. The Security Agent must be vigilant, professional, and well-versed in emergency protocols while embodying the core values of Iberostar: Excellence, Innovation, Sustainability, and Responsibility.

As a Security Agent, What will your day-to-day work be like?:

• To detect suspicious activities and potential security threats.

• Regularly patrol hotel premises, including guest rooms, common areas, back-of-house, and external surroundings, to ensure safety.

• Document incidents, observations, and report all suspicious activity or potential security risks immediately to the relevant departments.

• Respond promptly to security breaches, emergencies, or any critical incidents, ensuring the safety of guests and staff.

• Coordinate with local authorities, emergency services, and hotel management in case of incidents.

• Conduct thorough investigations on security-related matters and report findings to management.

• Ensure that all guests feel secure and comfortable during their stay, providing assistance when needed.

• Maintain a welcoming but vigilant security presence, balancing the need for safety with excellent customer service.

• Participate in training sessions, including first aid and emergency response drills, to ensure preparedness in any situation.

• Adhere to local laws, hotel policies, and international security standards.

• Ensure that all security-related protocols, including health and safety procedures, are followed diligently.

• Assist in regular audits and compliance checks for the hotel’s security systems.

• Maintain detailed records of all security incidents, guest interactions, and any preventive measures taken.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the security status of the hotel.

Who is the ideal person for this position?:

Academic Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in security, criminal justice, or law enforcement is an advantage.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a security role, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.

Qualifications:

• Vigilance: Ability to stay alert and attentive to details for extended periods.

• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in-person and through written reports.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to handle security situations swiftly and effectively, making sound decisions under pressure.

• Customer Orientation: Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while ensuring the safety and comfort of hotel guests.

• Teamwork: Work closely with hotel staff, other security agents, and local authorities to ensure a coordinated response to incidents.

• Integrity: Uphold ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all matters of security.
