Job Description Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js.

• 5 to 6 years experience

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Build secure, scalable, and high-performance server-side applications.

• Design and optimize SQL database schemas and queries.

• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.

• Implement authentication and authorization using JWT and OAuth.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.

• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.

• Perform unit testing, code reviews, and maintain code quality.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product teams.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+).

• Experience with Express.js.

• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, Promises, async/await, and the Node.js event loop.

• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.

• Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.

• Experience with ORM/ODM frameworks such as Sequelize, TypeORM, or Mongoose.

• Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub.

• Knowledge of authentication and authorization using JWT and OAuth.

• Understanding API security, logging, exception handling, and performance optimization.

• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with TypeScript.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

• Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.

• Understanding microservice architecture.

• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5–6 years of experience in Node.js backend development.
