Join a Major Infrastructure Project

Bureau Veritas is looking for a Project Site Translator & Coordinator to support the successful delivery of a large-scale engineering and construction project in Malaysia.

This role is ideal for individuals who are fluent in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia, enjoy working in a fast-paced site environment, and have an interest in engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in bridging communication between project stakeholders while supporting day-to-day project coordination activities.

• Location: Banting, Selangor / Sedenak, Johor

What You'll Do

• Provide interpretation support during site meetings, technical discussions, inspections, and project activities.

• Translate project-related documents, reports, correspondence, meeting minutes, and technical information.

• Facilitate communication between project teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and stakeholders.

• Support engineers and project managers in coordinating daily site activities.

• Attend site inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and project meetings.

• Prepare and maintain bilingual project documentation.

• Record meeting minutes and follow up on action items when required.

• Help ensure smooth collaboration between multicultural project teams.

• Support administrative and coordination activities related to project delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Languages, Translation, Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written); proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.

• Experience as a Translator, Interpreter, Project Coordinator, Site Coordinator, or similar role is an advantage.

• Familiarity with engineering, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, or data centre projects will be highly regarded.

• Comfortable working in a project site environment.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
