Job Summary:
PPX role is responsible for project purchasing management as interface between Division/Business Unit and Commercial Purchasing (PUR) for strategic and operative topics. Acting as partner in portfolio and product life cycle management.
Responsibilities:
Is globally responsible for technical project management to achieve Delivery, Cost and Quality targets along product life cycle, for new projects, change management projects(including Ratio Project Planning) towards BU/Product Area
Manages purchasing projects on component level, in close collaboration with the project team, supplier and the other M/PU functions to support the success of the BU portfolio
Drive excellence in Technical Supplier Discussion (TSD) and collaboration within product development for TCA(Target Cost Achievement) and RPP(Ratio Project Planning) excellence
Drives RFQ process, validates offers, prepare sourcing decision in terms of technical feasibility, quality standards, delivery schedules and pricing conditions
Plan and align MAT cost & investments with BU/plants
Is active member of Simultaneous Engineering (SE) team, lead SE work at and clarifies technical requirements with supplier
Bring business needs from BU into purchasing category, technology and supplier strategy and drive resilience measures within the BU scope
Explain supply market mechanisms and intelligence towards BU and foster a strong negotiation position in MAT relevant decisions
Monitor supplier performance on-site, mitigates risks and maintains PjM data in our IT-Systems
Bachelor’s degree and above with technical or commercial background, more than 3 years’ working experience in mechanical parts (e.g., die-casting, stamping, assembly, plastic, connector) Purchasing project management, from automotive industry is a plus
Deep understanding of cost structure in certain purchasing category and drive cost relevant work package(Design to cost, cost-saving measures ,…)
Experience of project management, certifications in project management domain is a plus
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external suppliers.
Professional in English skills, MS office, presentation
Proactive and able to work independently, but also as a part of team
Flexible to adapt to different business requirements and environments, able to travel if necessary
