General Manager - Principal Innovation Architect

This position will be based at Mumbai and will drive Innovation culture for Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation (A unit of Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd.)

Job Title: Principal Innovation Architect Job Location: Mumbai

Job Purpose

To build, drive, and sustain a robust innovation culture across the organization by enabling structured ideation, leveraging internal and external expertise, and overview the conversion of innovative ideas into measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovation programs, ideation campaigns, and workshops across the organization.

• Create platforms and forums to invite, capture, and evaluate innovative ideas from employees and stakeholders.

• Engage external facilitators, startups, consultants, academic institutions, and industry experts to bring fresh perspectives.

• Continuously scan and explore emerging technologies, trends, and innovative business models relevant to the organization.

• Share insights, trends, and best practices with leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Foster a culture of experimentation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Own and manage the innovation portal, including idea lifecycle management, tracking, and reporting.

• Define innovation governance, metrics, and review mechanisms.

• Support conversion of shortlisted ideas into pilots, proof-of-concepts, and scalable initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Design, or related field.

• 7-10 years of experience in innovation, strategy, transformation, or related leadership roles.

• Exposure to running innovation programs, workshops, hackathons, or ideation platforms.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
