Team/Role Overview
Join Citi's Global Business Expense Transparency organization as a Capital Markets Business/Data Analyst. You'll drive the development and enhancement of our Trade Cost Calculator and Analytics platform—a best-in-class system providing critical insights into trading costs and activities across global markets. This role demands a seasoned professional who can bridge business and technology, working directly with trading desks, business management, and senior stakeholders to deliver actionable analytics and drive platform evolution.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Development & Analytics
Lead development initiatives for the VARCITI trade cost analytics platform
Design and deliver robust trade and cost analytics, including volume profiling, product analysis, and expense trend identification
Develop and refine reconciliation processes for trade expense analytics against third-party invoices
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and Technology teams to understand dependencies and design effective metrics
Engage trading desks and senior stakeholders to promote platform capabilities and gather enhancement requirements
Own trading cost fee calculations and volume reconciliation processes across multiple products
Requirements & Delivery
Collaborate with technology teams throughout the software development lifecycle to translate business requirements into timely feature releases
Analyze enhancement opportunities to increase transparency and accuracy in cost reporting
Gather and document requirements for new metrics, reporting enhancements, and onboarding requests
What we’ll need from you
Experience & Knowledge
Intermediate experience in commercial, fast-paced business environments with focus on technology or financial analysis
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of trade flow processes and systems preferred
Knowledge of products traded across Fixed Income, Commodities, and Equities preferred
Proven track record identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements in data/analytical workflows
Technical Skills
Advanced SQL proficiency (required)
Expertise in data visualization tools (QlikView, Tableau, or similar)
Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Core Competencies

Meticulous attention to detail
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Bachelor's degree required
