Roles & Responsibilities
The Consumer Electronics (CE) Demand Planner and Inventory specialist is responsible for parts demand forecast of Visual Display (VD) and Digital Appliance (DA) Parts Operation, inventory management including turnover, procurement reporting under GPCA organization. He/She performs demand planning activities including demand forecasting of parts, SCM activities, inventory disposition of parts, develop effective forecast models based on industry trends, demand patterns, and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. The Demand Planning and Inventory specialist is responsible for faster parts turnover preventing aging at each parts warehouses. This includes management of alternative parts ensuring allocation of parts and FIFO is observe. Perform purchasing activities in accordance with ethical business standards and established purchasing policies and procedures. Support assigned organizations to fulfill the procurement needs and requirements of product development projects and activities. Work with cross-functional team with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control rather than development; short-term operational/tactical responsibilities. Typically, accountable for providing sufficient information for higher authority to make recommendations on budget and policies and for medium-term planning.

Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in supply chain management, business or other related field
A minimum 5+ year’s applicable in supply chain and component or part sales experience or service parts (e.g. Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Planning, FIFO, Inventory Control Management, S&OP preferably in a hi-tech products or consumer electronics industry)
Solid grasp and clear understanding of basic financial and inventory measures: sales, margin, weeks of supply, safety stock, sell thru, inventory turns.
Knowledge of S&OP principles and practices.
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills with the ability to work both cross-functionally and cross-culturally within a fast-paced environment.
Read write and verbal communications skills to prepare and present plans and information to product repair, vendors and purchasing management personnel
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with SAP ERP or similar business systems and/or sales order management software applications
Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-look-ups, formulas, macros, etc.) and other Microsoft Office products.
Power BI experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels with the customer and within and outside the company.
Plan, organize and prioritize multiple complex assignments and projects.
Ability to read, interpret, and act on proper understanding of products, equipment, and operational documents based on corporate legal, sales, business applications, engineering plans, and management philosophy.
Ability to communicate in writing, through emails and reports, or orally procurement and purchasing contract terms and conditions to an audience that may include less technically oriented and trained listeners.
Ability to work as an individual contributor to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
The ability to perform tasks and work assignments and complete clearly defined objectives using technical direction with applied knowledge of alternatives and the ability to make sound financial business decisions.
Work independently and in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames.
Must be analytical and process oriented. Ability to negotiate on behalf of function to come to agreement by managing communications through discussions and compromise; issues are short-term operational and medium-term tactical or limited strategic nature.
