As an SCP Material Planner, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end material planning for packaging materials. This role leads the weekly production planning cycle and ensures material availability to support production requirements, innovation initiatives, and promotional activities in a timely manner. The position plays a critical role in identifying and mitigating supply risks, monitoring inventory health, and optimizing warehouse capacity utilization. It also ensures the continuous availability of packaging materials while driving efficiency across the supply chain and supporting business growth objectives.
Lead the weekly Make Planning cycle and create material plans for assigned categories.
Build and maintain the monthly MRP plan based on production requirements, inventory levels, and supplier inputs.
Ensure material availability to support production plans, including projects and promotions.
Monitor daily stockouts and proactively identify risks across the planning horizon.
Share MRP plans with relevant stakeholders according to agreed timelines.
Identify material supply risks and opportunities, proposing alternative or constrained scenarios.
Properly track obsolete and slow-moving materials, defining clear action plans to mitigate impact.
Create inventory projections for raw and packaging materials aligned with targets.
Monitor and manage warehouse capacity to optimize stock levels and avoid excess.
Support working capital management by identifying shortages or overstock situations.
Escalate material risks to Planning Leads and Procurement, supporting issue resolution.
Validate production and material plans during weekly planning review meetings.
Track supplier performance and follow up on PR to PO conversion and execution.
Assess medium- and long-term material availability based on supplier feedback.
Collaborate with Finance to review business waste and develop projections to reduce obsolescence.
Fluent in English.
1–3 years of experience in Materials Planning, or a related supply chain function.
University degree in Engineering.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of material planning and production planning concepts.
Hands-on experience using ERP systems; SAP experience is required.
Intermediate Excel (pivot charts, pivot tables, formulas, data cleansing).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good collaboration and communication skills.
