Transport Planner Team Leader

We are looking for two Team Leaders to join our growing team.

The Team Leader role has dual responsibility as business leader and people leader. As business leader ensures operational delivery according to functional standards and effective collaboration with internal and external clients and stakeholders. As people leader supervises team and its operational deliverables, supports employee’s development, builds engagement and fosters collaboration across streams.

Your responsibilities would include:

• being responsible to oversee and manage transportation Planning & Execution functions for all OpCos within their specific cluster, acting decisively and engage effectively with key stakeholders

• partnering effectively with external customers and OpCo transportation organization, customer service representatives and wider supply planning organization

• being responsible for adhering to SLAs, resolving any issues/challenges at the OpCo side

• managing team of Planners by reviewing and improving resources on a continuous basis

• liaising with Continuous Improvement team to support implementation of operational and system improvements

• evaluating cluster operational planning performance

• reviewing and ensures shipments have been successfully planned and successfully delivered

• overseeing daily execution of transportation planning activities including load consolidation, mode shift, and optimization of transportation routes

• seeking to optimize transportation and execution activities based on transportation planners’ inputs, together with CI/CPI team

You are a good match if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field

• language skills: English (required), second language is advantageous (preferred: German , Italian)

• good understanding/experience with OTM

• understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes and business policies

• skills to effectively communicate to all levels (including OpCos) demonstrating expertise, professionalism and confidence

• ability to develop and manage client and carrier relationships

• professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• team management experience

• proficiency with Microsoft Office

• experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally
