Responsibilities:

Develop DFB laser structures for high optical output power, high efficiency, and high reliability based on semiconductor material physics and optical science.

Product design of DFB laser for yield improvement and cost reduction
-
Support stable volume production and continuous productivity improvement.

Design and fabricate the necessary parts for evaluation, such as submounts, as needed.

Evaluate fabricated chips, analyze evaluation data and prepare technical reports.

Attend a meeting to explain and discuss the results.
Expected Background:
-
BSc, MSc, PhD degree in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related equivalent technical field.

Bachelors and 6+ years of work experience, Masters and 4+ years of work experience. PhD. no relevant work experiences.
Expected Skill:
-
Knowledge of compound semiconductor such as InP material system and material physics.

Experience of semiconductor laser design and development , including high power DFB laser design, optical simulation, and thermal simulation, with at least 2-3 years’ experience.

Experience of product design for yield improvement and cost reduction of semiconductor laser diode

Experience in analyzing large volumes of experimental data using JMP or similar statistical analysis tools.

Knowledge of semiconductor device reliability

Fluent Japanese speaker and intermediate English skill

Basic PC skills, such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Programming skills, such as Excel VBA/macros and Python, are preferred.
