Entry Level
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
Weekly/monthly barrel checks
Testing of daily and weekly samples
Repair barrels and test for leaks
Loading and off-loading of barrels
Physical filling and emptying of barrels to/from maturation
Transfer and taking up of tanks.
Assist with daily and weekly recon when needed
Preparing of samples for testing and/or Organoleptic assessment and classification
Assist in the monthly Bulk Stock Take process
Execution of daily tasks are done to correct company procedures and work instructions
Compliance with OHS Act standards
Effective Record keeping
Maintain cellar hygiene standards
Drawing and testing of production tank samples
Apply strict loss control
Effective record keeping
Active participation in TPM Level 1 team activities
Participate in effective problem solving
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
Minimum Grade 12
1 – 3 years relevant experience
Be able to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
Knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards will be advantageous
Willing and able to work extended hours(overtime) when required
Willingness to perform ad hoc duties, including in other departments, when required
Must be a team player
Good interpersonal skills
Punctuality and attendance reliability
A valid Forklift License
