FRM Risk Associate / Fixed-term contract - 1 year

Generali Investments Luxembourg S.A. (“GIL”) is recruiting a 1 year Risk Associate fixed-term position for its Financial Risk Management Liquid Assets team (“FRM Liquid Assets”) in Luxembourg. The Risk Associate, under the supervision of the Deputy Head of FRM Liquid Assets team and working in close collaboration with the team, supports GIL’s Permanent Risk Management Function in maintaining an effective risk management framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements pursuant to UCITS, AIFMD and local regulations. Within the FRM Liquid Assets team, the Risk Associate will be responsible for supporting the risk monitoring activities of market, credit, counterparty, liquidity, diversification, and sustainability risks, in accordance with GIL internal policies and risk management procedures.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with the maintenance and integrity controls around input and data quality underlying the internal risk management system(s).

• Assist with the daily, weekly and monthly risk monitoring tasks and support the validation of test results against regulatory (UCITS, AIFMD), contractual (Prospectus, Risk Profiles, other) and internal guidelines, as applicable.

• Support in the evaluation of risk indicators/metrics/results and contribute with insights on the outcome of the risk monitoring activities (ongoing and ad-hoc testing) in accordance with internal procedures, market standards and regulatory requirements.

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of risk-related technical instructions to ensure activities are readily transferable within the team.

• Act as backup and support the team for enhanced coverage.

• Support the onboarding of new funds, new investments, new stakeholders, and overall projects and initiatives from a risk perspective.

• Assist with requests from delegated functions (e.g., portfolio management, fund administration, depositary) and Group internal stakeholders concerning risk management activities.

• Collaborate with internal functions (compliance, operations, audit, etc.).

• Master’s degree in finance or quantitative discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in risk management. Experience in asset management is preferred.

• Familiar with asset management industry practices and UCITS and AIFMD regulation and preferably CESR 10-788 Global Exposure and Counterparty Risk for UCITS.

• Knowledge of other risk-related fund regulations (for example, IOSCO, SFDR, ESMA guidelines, etc.) a plus.

• Good understanding of financial markets, financial instruments and related risks (market, credit, counterparty, liquidity, diversification, and sustainability), and familiarity with risk management methodologies.

• Familiarity with risk management software (e.g. Risk Metrics) and MSCI ESG Manager is a plus.
