Senior Associate –

Complex transactions. International clients. Greater influence.

As a senior associate in our Auckland Finance team, you'll work on some of New Zealand's most significant and sophisticated financing transactions where you will be advising a diverse local and international client base. You'll lead matters across leveraged finance, property finance, project and renewables financing, structured finance and corporate finance. You'll take ownership of transactions from strategy through to execution, working directly with clients, and stakeholders while partnering closely with leading Finance partners.

Alongside delivering exceptional client outcomes, you'll help develop junior lawyers, strengthen client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Our Finance team is recognised for its market-leading expertise in advising on complex, debt-related transactions for many of New Zealand's leading financial institutions. A substantial portion of our work is cross-border, giving you exposure to international markets, clients and colleagues across the global firm. You will be part of a collaborative, high-performing team that thrives on delivering exceptional results, tackling challenging matters and celebrating shared success. About You

We are looking for:

• Proven Banking and Finance transactional experience managing complex financing transactions

• Strong client relationship skills and the ability to act as a trusted commercial adviser

• Excellent drafting, negotiation and transaction management capability

• A proactive approach to business development and growing client relationships

• Experience mentoring, supervising, and developing junior lawyers

• Strong commercial judgement, leadership capability, and a pragmatic mindset

• A collaborative approach and a commitment to helping others succeed
