We're looking for a motivated solicitor (2+ PQE) to join our Corporate practice in Auckland.

This is an opportunity to take the next step in your career, advising on a broad range of corporate transactions and commercial advisory matters for a diverse local and international client base. You'll work closely with senior lawyers and partners, on significant and complex matters while continuing to build your technical expertise, commercial judgement and client confidence that will support the next stage of your career.

About the team

• DLA Piper’s Corporate team is known for its market-leading expertise in complex, cross-border transactions. In your immediate team, you’ll work closely with Reuben Woods and other experienced corporate lawyers, as you build confidence, judgement and increasing ownership of your work.

• You’ll also be part of the broader Corporate team, across Auckland and Wellington, with opportunities to collaborate with colleagues in other DLA Piper offices on cross-border work.

• Supported by experienced partners and colleagues, you’ll have the opportunity to broaden your experience, strengthen client relationships and build your profile in a team that values collaboration, clear thinking and commercial impact.

About you

We are seeking someone who brings:

• Ideally New Zealand experience in a top-tier or global firm.

• A strong foundation in corporate, transactional, or projects work.

• Ability to manage discrete components of matters with increasing independence.

• Confidence communicating with clients and managing day-to-day interactions.

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• A proactive, collaborative, and commercially minded approach, with a willingness to take ownership while seeking guidance where appropriate.
